Violence against women

Physical, sexual or psychological violence against women is a public health problem that affects one third of women worldwide.

Addressing the global problem of violence against women requires all sectors to work together in a coordinated way. However, the health sector and health-care providers have a crucial role to play in identifying and supporting survivors of violence. This e-learning programme is based on World Health Organization (WHO) guidance for health managers, (including facility administrators and policy-makers), and health-care providers on responding to intimate partner violence and non-partner sexual violence.

This e-learning programme is based on up-to-date WHO guidance for health-care providers and health managers on responding to intimate partner violence and non-partner sexual violence.
